I built and John painted the shelving over the last couple of years. The table is just a kitchen table we had stored in the garage. I just threw a sheet over it, and pinned a violet lace border to the skirt. We saw purple, violet and lavender lace used as table toppers in trendy shops in the Marais district of Paris a couple of years ago. I threw a cheap cotton cloth over it to hide the seams, and topped it all with a sheer sequined and metallic embroidered cloth from Paris(I think).
