New York, New York

John loves to go to New York.  Our Bahamas cruise began and ended in New York and we got an employee discount for Holiday Inn Express on West 48th Street.  This was not too far from the Empire State Building and Times Square.  We walked around a lot of Manhattan.  We did Central Park, the Plaza gift shop, an organ recital at Saint Patrick's Cathedral near the Rockefeller Center and attended a taping of the Martha Stewart Show.  I was nursing a bad sunburn from the terrible private island we stopped at, but other than that, we had a nice time.  We went back to Providence by train from Penn Station, where Mike Fleming(our room mate at the time) picked us up to go home.
